Bombina House is a colourful, maximalist two-bed Victorian flat in Margate, a short walk from the seafront, and one of the boldest interiors on the Kent coast.

Every room is layered with art, textiles and homeware from independent makers, so you get a completely different backdrop in each part of the flat. No two corners look the same, which means one booking can stretch across several distinct setups.

The light does half the work for you. Sun pours in through the mornings and evenings, ceilings are high throughout, and a large bay window floods the front room on a bright day. With the windows shut the flat stays quiet, which is perfect for video and audio recording.

Practical bits: around 45 square metres across the flat, roughly 12 power sockets for lights and kit, and a street-level front door with one flight of stairs inside.
