The Albion Rooms is an iconic rock and roll seaside venue on Margate's seafront. A gothic, candlelit hotel, bar, and recording studio with one of the most distinctive interiors on the Kent coast.
Available by the hour for photoshoots, filming, podcasts and content creation, each space offers a completely different backdrop.
Our Spaces
The Bar — A moody, gothic lounge with an ornate gilt fireplace, arched mirror, leather throne chair, candlelight, and bay window seating overlooking the sea. Downstairs, the basement bar offers a grungier vibe with booth seating, fairy lights, vintage posters, checkerboard flooring, and a leopard print performance stage. Perfect for music videos, brand shoots, podcast recordings, and atmospheric portrait work.
The Recording Studio — A fully equipped professional recording studio with warm wooden panelling, red velvet walls, Marshall amps, drum kit, piano, guitars, and a teal velvet sofa. Rich, textured, and designed to sound as good as it looks. Ideal for music content, behind-the-scenes footage, and audio recording.
The Hotel Rooms — Seven individually designed rooms with a gothic black-and-gold aesthetic, ornate chandeliers, leather furniture, and bay windows with sea views. Each room has its own character. Perfect for editorial fashion shoots, lifestyle content, and anything that needs a dramatic, high-end interior. Additional cleaning fee applies if bedding is used.
