A working studio built around a seamless white cove

Fire Eye Land is a dedicated photography and creative studio in Margate, Kent, built for shoots that need space, equipment and a clean controllable backdrop.

At the centre of the studio is a hand-built 8m × 5m white infinity cove, giving photographers, videographers, brands and production teams a seamless background for fashion, product, portrait, commercial and video work.

There is considerably more here than the cove. Fire Eye Land also has an extensive lighting and grip kit, a separate hair and makeup area, clothes rail, small kitchen, toilets, off-street parking and roller-shutter access for bringing larger equipment into the studio.

Outside, the site adds a completely different option with street-art backdrops for shoots that need something less controlled and more urban.

Studio Hire Prices

Fire Eye Land offers separate rates for short sessions, half-day shoots and full production days rather than applying the one-hour rate across every booking.

1 hour £55 Single-hour session
2 hours or more £40/hour 2-hour minimum
Overtime £50/hour By agreement

There are no Creator Spots platform fees for creators.

For longer shoots, the half-day and full-day rates make Fire Eye Land considerably better value than simply multiplying the single-hour price.

The 8m × 5m Infinity Cove

The main shooting feature at Fire Eye Land is its hand-built 8m × 5m white infinity cove, sometimes called a cyclorama or cyc.

The curved transition between wall and floor removes the visible horizon line of a conventional room, giving you a clean continuous background that can be lit and framed in different ways depending on the shoot.

It is particularly useful when you want the subject or product to carry the image rather than the location itself.

The studio floor plan shows an overall length of approximately 14 metres, a maximum width of 6.5 metres, and a ceiling lighting rig at 4.3 metres, with additional height in the vaulted ceiling.

That extra working distance is useful when a shoot needs camera separation, full-length framing, larger lighting setups or additional production space around the cove.

Fire Eye Land has a substantial collection of continuous lighting, flash, modifiers, stands, grip equipment and backgrounds available for shoots.

Creators and production teams can also bring their own equipment.

If a booking depends on a particular Fire Eye Land light or piece of equipment, it should be specified in the enquiry so availability can be confirmed before the shoot.

Hair, Makeup and Wardrobe

Fire Eye Land has a dedicated hair and makeup area away from the main shooting space, giving models, performers and crew somewhere to prepare while the studio remains set up.

A clothes rail is also available for fashion, editorial and commercial shoots.

For shoots involving several looks, this gives the team somewhere to organise styling and changes without using the main studio floor.

Outdoor Street-Art Backdrops

The infinity cove is not the only look available.

Outside the main studio, Fire Eye Land has an outdoor area featuring street art and textured urban surroundings, giving photographers and filmmakers another visual direction without having to move the production to a second location.

  • Fashion campaigns
  • Streetwear
  • Artist portraits
  • Music content
  • Editorial photography
  • Alternative brand campaigns

A shoot can therefore move from a completely clean white studio setup to something much rougher and more location-led within the same site.

Access, Parking and Loading

Fire Eye Land is set up for productions bringing more than a phone and a tripod.

Off-street parking is available, and the studio has roller-shutter access for larger equipment and set pieces.

The floor plan also shows double-width studio entrance doors, making it easier to load larger cases, props and production equipment than working from a conventional upper-floor photographic studio.

For shoots involving particularly large equipment, sets or vehicles, include the dimensions and access requirements in the enquiry so they can be checked before the booking is confirmed.

Fire Eye Land makes most sense when the shoot needs a proper working studio rather than simply an interesting room.

Fashion and lookbooks

The infinity cove, full-length shooting space, changing area, clothes rail and lighting equipment make Fire Eye Land particularly practical for fashion work.

Product and e-commerce photography

The clean infinity background, still-life blocks, flash equipment and lighting modifiers provide a controlled environment for product photography.

Portraits and editorial photography

Use the white cove for a clean studio look, then move outside for something more textured.

Brand campaigns

Useful when a brief needs clean photography, video and several deliverables from the same session.

Video production

The studio size, lighting rig and equipment make it suitable for video work where a controlled studio environment is more useful than a furnished location.

Workshops, launches and other creative uses

Fire Eye Land may also accept non-photography creative uses by arrangement. Include what you are planning when you enquire so the studio can confirm suitability.

What to Know Before You Enquire

Fire Eye Land is a working photography and creative studio, so it will not suit every type of production.

If you need a furnished house, kitchen, bedroom, period interior or ready-made lifestyle backdrop, one of the residential locations on Creator Spots may suit the brief better.

The studio has not been described to Creator Spots as a purpose-built soundproof recording stage. If you are recording dialogue or other critical sync sound, include that requirement in the enquiry so the studio can advise whether the space is suitable.

Crew capacity has not been specified, so larger productions, events and workshops should provide an estimated number of people when enquiring.
