Margate has been quietly assembling the credentials of a serious creative destination for the better part of a decade, and the content creator spaces Margate now has on offer are a direct product of that. If Margate Delight is maximalism turned up to eleven, the Victorian Villa is the calmer option, and for a lot of shoots that is exactly the point. It is a spacious period villa with a mix of original character and clean contemporary interiors, spread across several rooms and a large private garden.
The living room does most of the heavy lifting. A cast iron fireplace, a chandelier, generous proportions and a lot of natural light make it a straightforward choice for portrait work, fashion shoots and interview setups, the sort of footage that wants a real room rather than a styled set. The kitchen is the contemporary counterpoint, with dark fitted units, a large stone island and clean lines that suit food, product and lifestyle content.
Outside, the mature private garden gives you an established green backdrop with proper trees, open lawn and, if you want it, a swing, which is more useful than it sounds for outdoor portraits, editorial and video.
